About

Hey ya'll! I'm Amanda.  Your not so typical ginger! I try my best to be optimistic and make things fun. As you can tell by the picture, I have a silly side. I am a very outgoing person. I am born and raised a Californian. Yay for So-CAL! So, to answer what you may be assuming by the stereotype of Californians, yes I do like the beach. I LOVE Disneyland. Actually I love anything Disney haha. I am one of those girly white girls who wears high heels and does her hair with cute bows. But don't get me wrong. I love the mountains too. I love hiking and getting down and dirty. It's actually on my bucket list to have a mud or paint fight. Sounds fun right? I know! I like to think my picky eating, dancing, getting pampered girly side is balanced out by my weird jock adventurous side.

I am from a typical mormon sized family of 10 and counting. Two loving adorable parents whom I love very very much. 3 strong older brothers. 1 amazing beautiful sister. So far my family has been blessed with the addition of 3 great people. Melody married my brother Steven and they gave me cool little dude for a nephew, Tyler. Then another sweet woman, Alejandra, joined our family when she married my other brother Kevin.

These Two are the best! Kenny is practically my adopted 4th brother, and Emily is one of the greatest best friends I have! They have been great friends to me. Especially Emily. Throughout the years I've known her she's been there for me. Whether it's my dance performance, my graduation, or even just boy drama. She's given me the advice and support I've needed. Her intelligent funny humor is great! Emily is pretty much great at everything she does. I wish I was as talented as she is with flowers, doing make up, baking, cooking, ha! even just being so pretty. She is going to be a great mom one day! I'm really going to miss going to movies, shopping, and having game nights with her and Kenny when i'm in Korea. Those times are the best!

This is Kara. We have been friends since about the age of 3 or 4. We have known each other for so long, we both can't even really member how we officially met. We've always just lived across the street from each other and started playing at each other's house. Kara is one the most amazing daughters of God that I know. I look up to her so much. I'm grateful that the Lord blessed me with a friend like her while growing up. She isn't a member of the same church, but she does still have the same values and standards as I do. She lives her life in such a Christlike way. She has always been a great example to me. I'm happy that she supports me in going on a mission. I can tell she understands. Knowing she believes in me and is cheering for me to do good will help me while in Korea.

This is Michelle. My AMAZING sister! I can not even think of where to start when I talk about her. She's beautiful. Not only on the outside, but her as a person is such a loving, beautiful daughter of God. She has this loving, carefree way about her personality it's pretty cute. I am so happy she and I got to grow closer together when I moved to Utah. I feel like we both helped each other grow and become better. She deserves the best in life. Especially a very very handsome worthy Son of God. I mean it! I only want what's best for her! She is so giving it's ridiculous. I think she and I both get it from our mother haha. Her testimony has definitely strengthened mine, and kept me on the straight and narrow path towards God. She always knows EXACTLY what to say or do to help me. I'm forever grateful for God blessing me with her as my sister.

This girl's name is Sarah. She was my freshman college roommate.
She soon become another one of my beautiful best friends. She is now happily married to the love of her life Janceton. I miss her a ton ever since I left Utah moved back home and I will miss her even more while I'm on my mission. She was a great influence on me. I aspire to be a funny, faithful and confident daughter of God like she is. I'm grateful for her friendship and all the help she's given me. My transition to college was not only a little easier, but also more fun because of her. I'll never forget all the memories I made with her. (Also, Sister Chestnut- who is also serving in Korea Seoul South Mission is in the middle of Sarah and I in the pic above)
There are also so many important special people in my life, but these are just a few who had a big impact on me ;)haha

As of February 26th, 2014, I will be spending 18 months as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Korea Seoul South mission. If you'd like to hear more about my church and what we as missionaries teach feel free to hit the "my faith" button and learn more!
